Busy days are here again.

Busy days are here again. Office projects are eating up my time in the office. [yeah, i know it should :) ] At least may projects, diba? Anyways, I hope to go back to active blogging in the next couple of days.

I knew from the start of this years US Open, Pete Sampras was gonna make it. And he did! Beating another all time favorite of mine, Andre Agassi, Pete became the oldest to win the US Open since 1975. Interesting to note that he was also the youngest to win the US Open in 1990.

On the women’s tourney, I stopped watching when I felt that the Williams’ will dominate the finals again after Jennifer Capriati and Martina Hingis fell in the quarterfinals. And I heard they really did dominated again the finals, much like what they did in the Wimbledon. I would still chear for Martina and Jennifer come Australian Open :)

Open Source or Proprietary Software

I am an advocate of Open Sourced approach to operating system and software distribution. Most of our tools are open source like PHP, mySQL and the like — and we earn from using them. The Philippine government has been conscious about deploying open sourced software within the government offices. I think they are saving a lot from it.

This particuar article made me think though. Being a web/software programming firm ourselves, is open source a good thing for the business?
