My Joy is a “book worm”. She loves books. One of the books that she recently bought is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It caught my interest because a play (or musical?) is on-going at the Shangri-la.
I know it’s a children’s fairy tale book! :) But C.S. Lewis, one of the best Christian authors of our time, who wrote the seven-volume “Chronicles of Narnia” in which this volume is the most popular in the series, wrote it in a way the even adults will surely enjoy.
This weekend, I had a priveledge of reading the entire book. It was awesome! The best thing is that it was written as an alegory of the gospel in the form of children fairy tale. Well, the gospel is so simple that even a 5 year old kid can understand. Try it out! Sure you’ll have fun. Oh but, I don’t want to spoil the fun, but as you read, think of Edmund as yourself and Aslan the Lion as Jesus, will yah? :)

Why do you think India is the number IT outsourcing country in the world? Two things, they have a pool of cooperating IT players and they have enough support from the government.
I believe that the Philippines has one of those. No, not the support from the government. It’s high time, I think, for the government to take initiatives in promoting the Filipino IT talents abroad. And there should be an industry unity to spur software dev’t growth in the country.

In connection with Ninoy Aquino’s death anniversary today, Kris Aquino, Ninoy’s “showbiz” daugther, who has been very much into controversy these days for having an affair with yet another married man, says in an interview during a mass today : I know my mom still loves me. She’ll always be my mom, come what may.
We may not all agree with Kris’ “activities” nowadays, but I can see the gospel in her statement. Isn’t it we are all like Kris? Sinners as we are, but God remains our Dad.
