I hate it when I receive SPAM emails from bots. I hate it more when the spam does not come from bots, but from human beings. I hate it most when spams come from candidates!
Vic Magsaysay, or one of his staff is spamming! I, together with about a hundred emails (yes, our emails are exposed through the “to” field. the guy who sent this doesn’t even know how to use bcc) received this email today.
Mr. Magsaysay, or his staff, believe me, SPAMMING is illegal. How can we vote for you if you don’t even know how to follow the law? And you want to be a law maker?

Awright, the title says it all. I’ve moved my blog to a new URL. ArnoldGamboa.com will eventually be depreciated. I recently purchased the domain gamboa.ph. With the unlimited subdomain names, I plan to make it the handler of all blogs of the family. Mine will be http://arnold.gamboa.ph, Joyce, my wife, her recent domain name for the blog is http://joycegamboa.com. It will also be depreciated and will be migrated to http://joyce.gamboa.ph. Johann, my son, yes he can blog :D No, not really. I plan to start http://johann.gamboa.ph with the links to his pictures. If my brother decides to start a blog for himself, well, he can have http://tzaddi.gamboa.ph! That would be cool.
So there you go. Please update your bookmarks.
I have also recently discovered Twitter. I’ve an account and you’ll see what am I doing with the flash applet at the side panel. This thing can be potentially addicting. Add me if you may.

We saw the movie “Facing The Giants” on DVD over the weekend. The movie is an inspirational, faith-based story about a college football team and their coach. This line caught my attention:
Coach: I prayed so hard, but I still can’t seem to win.
Mr. Bridges: I heard of a story of two farmers praying to God for rain to come. Both prayed but only one prepared the land. Who do you think trusted God more to send the rain?

I have not really seen blogging as a tool. I blog because I want to, and quite honestly, I don’t have any reason at all for doing.
Oh well, theoretically, and according to online readings, blogging has real benefits. But not only recently that I see the beauty that is blogging when I saw it first hand. For instance, a balikbayan wanted to attend a church. He saw my blog and called me up. He attended Grace Place. That was a year and a half ago. A couple of weeks ago, he called up asking if Grace Place can officiate his wedding, which will be soon. Last night, we met his fiancee at our small group meeting and hopefully, she can attend the Sunday services. All these because of this blog.
Through this blog, I met several Christian bloggers, allowed me to expose my techie self (and now, through PinoyTechBlog) and met several potential clients.
And lately, I’m learning the pastor’s way of blogging. Perry Noble, whom I consider my online church leadership teacher, has been blogging about his church. And he’s doing a great job in communicating his vision to the church. His people are responding positively.
So, blogging it is. I may not be blogging too much — which is good in a sense because I am starting to have more time with people and not just being online all the time — but I’ll try to do more and more, that is, if you’ll visit frequently. :-)
Do me a favor, can you add a comment in this post if you are my regular visitor?

Things are going crazy! Everything seems going the wrong way. Ever heard of the Murphy’s Law?
We were excited about moving the that 150 sq. m., gorgeous room at the 4th floor of our building. Everything is going right — the facilities are great, the rates are manageable. Then yesterday, my final negotiations with the unit owner fell.
Grace Place is launching a series first week of February entitled “Thank God, It’s Monday!”. As part of the preparation, we printed 5000 copies of ticket/invitations to be distributed around the Makati Business District. We got the printed materials yesterday. There was one huge mistake — the back print is inverted. We have less than 3 days before we distribute the tickets, there’s no time to correct this mistake.
God, what’s happening!?
