Messianic complex

The  Trillanes-Lim coup is over.

One sick-minded senator with messianic complex. One so messed up multi-million peso Manila Peninsula Hotel.

One very wise former vice president. Two Roman Catholic bishops. Are  you guys thinking? Seriously.

I voted for Trillanes. But this time, I hope he’ll get what he deserves. Not just a jail term but he needs to be thrown out of  his senate seat.  I hope  that his fellow senators will take action.

Lesson: your emotions can trick you out of thinking wisely.

Coup, na naman?

As of writing, General Lim and Senator and former military Antonio Trillianes have occupied the Manila Peninsula. With them are their military guards who apparently has joined them instead of guard them. (Trillianes and Lim are on trial for coup charges).

I’m not sure if I’m getting this right, but are they really thinking? I mean, they’ve done this before and they know it, at the end of the day, they’ll surrender because the reality is, they are on their own. The majority of the Armed Forces are not with them. The people, while disgusted with the current political situation and the corruption in the government are less likely to join.

Oh, well.

Expect these: peso dipping (which is I like, by the way *grin*), business slowing down and the country on CNN again. When can we ever reach the international media because of a good news (other than a Manny Pacquiao boxing match victory)?

On a lighter note, here are some interesting Twitter posts from my Twitter friends.

Twitter power

Play by play account. Updated by the seconds.

A friend in DC was in a train going home yesterday. Meanwhile, the Yankees were playing. He asked his twitter friends to give him updates. I contributed (I got from the Major League website of course), but I know he was swamped by twits.

Today, Manuel Quezon III, the journalist grandson of our past President, was in the House of Representative covering Speaker de Venecia’s decision whether to refer the newest impeachment complaint or not. He was twittering. Blow by blow.

She could have just said “… and world peace”

This is funny. But I feel for the girl. I wouldn’t want to be in her shoes answering a question she didn’t (or failed to) understand — and being an instant hit at YouTube with over 3 million hits as of today.

You Tube video on Miss Teen USA South Carolina answering a live question and answer.

She explains here why she fumbled.

Pressure aside, she wants to answer the question this way.

Some more YouTube funny stuff… Sometimes I feel that life is fair — you can’t be beautiful and smart at the same time. Believe me through this model.

Updates

I’m on a blogging hiatus. For the sake of my huge follower, namely my brother and another 4 that are subscribed to my feedburner, here are some updates.

* Kuya Prudy, my lead pastor at Grace Place, is blogging! Yeah! After about a thousand years, he updated his blog with this post. Go check it out.

* I’m also planning to start with a blog for Grace Place, simply called “The Grace Place Blog” where Kuya Prudy, Josh (our worship leader) and myself can pour our thoughts in. There have been some Grace Place related thoughts running through my brain that I cannot really include here for fear that most of my readers may not relate. We will announce it later when we’re done with the technical aspect of the blog.

* Things are going crazy in almost every aspect of my life right now. I want to give up. It’s just that this verse keep playing and playing in my head.
