Business lesson from Joomla “Filipino” website

If you're a natural Filipino language speaker, you'll laugh hard at this. If you're not a Filipino speaker, just think about those "Chinese English" printed in China products. It's the same thing.

A few thoughts:

1. Before they decided to make a Filipino translation on their website, they should have researched and learned that majority of Filipinos that have internet access can understand English, therefore, no need for a Filipino translation.

2. Most importantly, they should know that in any language translations, context matters.

Lesson? You can't please everyone. So, don't try.
