Wireless

Unwired.

That’s how I will describe the kind of lifestyle we have at home. Let me show you why:

We recently gave up our traditional landline for a PLDT Wireless landline. Our broadband internet is Smart Bro, a wireless internet service by Smart Telecoms. I had it connected to a WiFi wireless broadband router so that I can have my laptop connect to the interenet UNwired. Just recently, we purchased Mobile Eye, a wireless, 3G based camera from Smart. We use it to monitor our son while we’re away.

Amazing how technolgy progressed in the last 2 years. How has technology changed the way you live?

    I can’t live without google.

Anyway, I can now connect regularly with friends oceans over and talk as if we’re just beside each other. Instead of waiting for several weeks to send and receive snail mails, email is just a click away.

Also, instead of going to the library, I can now do research in front of my computer and at the comfort of my own home. I can also listen to music and sing without the fear that a librarian would silence me. In terms of entertainment, I can now download the latest movies and art-house films which I can’t access a few years ago. It saved me time from traveling to Quiapo to stock up in DVDs and I also saved money by not paying penalties in Video City. But the drawback is I am now a certified prison candidate by breaking the intellectual property law. Also, google really made me lazy to analyze things.
