Safest way to transfer funds

… from any source is through the bank.

I’m speaking to Filipino internet professionals or to anybody who sends or receive money here in the Philippines for that matter.

Many of you heard of those Paypal horror stories. And while I know that sending money through Paypal is not yet available here in the Philippines, I know of merchants who uses this system by simply routing the money to friends in the US — your account may just be next to be disabled. 2Checkout worked for me for about a month until it also disabled my account.

One merchant money transfer service that delivers the goods in the past was Moneybookers.com. It has been my provider for our cellphone load system Etoload.com for about a year already. Today, on the other hand, I received this notification.

Argg! Account suspended.

Nothing beats bank transfers. But we online merchants still needs a reliable web based service.
