Have you ever felt quiting from what you are doing and just go back to where you were at in the past?
(To my foreign readers, the title can be loosely translated as “I give up!”)
That’s exactly what I’m feeling right now. I want to shout on top of my lungs, “Ayaw ko na!”
There was a time when life is so simple. I get up at 6 am, brush my teeth, eat breakfast, ride the jeepney to office, read numbers and balance sheets and bank recons, waits for 5 pm, then go home and watch TV. For 5 days a week, I do that.
And now? I wake up to see failures in my team, an angry client and a speechless, pathetic me.
The only thing that’s keeping me sane is God and his promises, that “…God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Rom. 8:28) I’m looking forward for the time when I look back and see why these things are happening and that it even brought good out of the bad.
