Where to Vote on May 10

For those of you who are excited for May 10′s national election, here’s a way for you to find out earlier where you should go on e-day.

The faster way, and since I assume you have internet access because you are reading this website now. :-) — is to go to findprecinct.com. Enter your Last name, first name, middle name and your birthday. The website searches their database and will show your name with the corresponding precinct and, the cool thing, a map to locate the precinct. It was helpful for me since this is the first time I will be voting in Metro Manila. Since I started voting in 1995 elections, I always cast my vote in my home town in Jaen, Nueva Ecija (2 hours north of Metro Manila). Not anymore.

Now, for those of the rest of the Filipinos who does not know IT except their cellphones, here’s a cool way to find where you should go on the 10th.

Simply type the following information in your cellular phone (SMS):

FINDP LASTNAME,FIRST NAME,MIDDLENAME or MIDDLE INITIAL,BIRTHDATE in mm/dd/yyyy format:

E.g.:

FINDP Cruz,Juan Jr.,D,01/30/1973

then send to:

(SMART) 211
(GLOBE) 2958.

For Sun Cellular Subscribers to access the Find Precinct service,
Click to the Mall / Enter Mall / Post Office / Public Service / Gov’t Agency / Find Precinct or text FindP to 2300. Input your first name then middle name and last name and your date of birth then submit.

Let your voice be heard. Go out and vote — May 10′s the day!
