“The Passion…” at Communities of Grace
Posted: March 12th, 2004 | Author: arnold | Filed under: Day today | View CommentsThe Passion of The Christ — who does not know about this Mel Gibson movie nowadays? It is coming here in the Philippines — a predominantly Christian, I’d say, nominal Christian nation — on March 31.
Evangelical churches will be using this movie as a bridge event — an evangelistic tool to be exact. They are blocking theater schedules for their use. I heard about Alabang New Life Christian Center’s blocking of the entire opening day showing of Alabang Town Center cinemas. Now that’s huge!
Yesterday, our core group approved our own showing of the Passion to an exclusive theater in the heart of Makati. We’ll be selling 440 tickets for this event. Now that seemed a great challenge. Hopefully, we’ll be able to invite so much — our family members, relatives and friends — to this event.
