Questions… questions…

Just let me pour my heart out on this one. I need to shout!!! Bear with me. You may not understand me unless you came from the same religious background as mine. But thanks for reading anyway.

Why is it hard to brainwash the brainwashed? Why is somebody who claims to be Greek can’t understand Greek? Is it because he is brainwashed by a non-Greek? How can a brainwashed guy realize that he was brainwashed? Is it hard to realize that you are brainwashed if you claim to be Greek but can’t understand Greek because you have been taught to speak by a non-Greek, a Jew perhaps?

Why, why don’t they get it? Ever! Jesus died for me and for you and Sabbath keeping (and not keeping) does not have anything to do with it. Why, isn’t that simple? That’s why they call it the “simple gospel”. Our salvation does not depend on anything we do, we don’t do or as to whatever day we decide to go to church, except that we accept Jesus’ finished work of redemption. Salvation is free! Libre! If newspapers can be grabbed free at MRT and LRT why can’t salvation? Why is Sabbath so hard to drop? Why does it keep appearing in the picture? Why?

It’s hard to ask questions especially if you already know the answer.

    I am truly wondering why you are very frustrated about it nong. Maybe we need to see the issue in a different sense. Would it make them become “unsaved” if they continue to keep the sabbath? And maybe we have to realize that, just as we have nothing to do with our salvation (it’s all God’s!)we also have nothing to do with convicting the hearts of people. It’s the work of the Holy Spirit. Because you see, what is happening is, in your frustration, your love for these so called “brainwashed” (which in all sense, i do not agree) people is not showing. At least not in print…but if i had not known you better, i might think that too!I was in the same position like them and no amount of shoving that in my throat would make me change what i truly believed in. But with the gentle working of the Holy Spirit in my life, i realized that although i still keep the sabbath and enjoy every moment of it, it has nothing to do with my salvation. Rather, i keep it because i am saved and i have discovered it to be truly a blessing in my life. In time, with our love and prayers, the Holy Spirit who is continually working in their hearts,will lead them into that stage too, IN ACCORDANCE with what God has planned for them. In the meantime, maybe we should channel our efforts to those who have not known Jesus yet.
